Taylor Swift has delivered a tirade against one of the music industry’s most powerful managers and found herself embroiled in a row with the singer Justin Bieber over the rights to her music.

The American pop star and songwriter said that she was sad and “grossed out” that Scooter Braun, who manages Bieber and the rapper Kanye West, had become the legal owner of most of her music, and accused him of “incessant” bullying.

Swift, 29, said that she had signed a record deal when she was 15 that prevented her from owning the rights to her music and that she had begged to be allowed to buy them. She was shocked by the announcement that Mr Braun, 38, had bought the Big Machine record.
